About The Position

This role leads commercial structured cabling projects from start to finish, ensuring high‑quality installation, testing, and documentation of copper and fiber infrastructure. You will oversee field crews, manage cable pathways, and build out telecommunications rooms while maintaining productivity, quality, and clear communication with project stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience running commercial structured cabling projects from start to finish.
  • Hands‑on experience with structured cabling installation in commercial environments.
  • Strong leadership skills, including crew supervision, jobsite accountability, and time and task management.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, prints, and drawings.
  • Proficiency in installing cable pathways and managing cable routing in construction environments.
  • Experience pulling, dressing, labeling, and terminating copper cabling.
  • Competence in termination testing and use of structured cabling test equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for cabling and test failures.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with management and reporting job progress.
  • Flexibility to work night shifts when required.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for out‑of‑town projects as needed.
  • Experience working in healthcare or hospital construction environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Fiber optic installation and termination experience (preferred but not required).
  • Experience working on healthcare and hospital projects, including familiarity with specialized construction environments.
  • Comfort working in a fast‑paced field environment with multiple active job sites.
  • Ability to adapt to varying project schedules, including standard daytime and occasional night shifts.
  • Openness to travel if need be. Sometimes projects in other markets ask for assistance. Would only be 1 week at a time and back on weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Run commercial structured cabling projects from start to finish, ensuring work meets scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
  • Read, interpret, and execute work from prints, drawings, and blueprints.
  • Establish, install, and manage cable pathways in commercial and healthcare construction environments.
  • Pull, dress, label, and terminate copper cabling in a neat and organized manner.
  • Build out, organize, and maintain telecom and communications rooms, including racks, pathways, and labeling.
  • Perform structured cabling testing using appropriate test equipment, including proper setup, correct cable IDs, and accurate project naming.
  • Troubleshoot cabling and test failures, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Lead and manage field crews, keeping teams productive and focused on daily objectives.
  • Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to industry standards and company procedures on all installations.
  • Provide daily progress reports, including cable counts, work completed, and any issues or delays.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding jobsite status, resource needs, and potential risks.
  • Support work on commercial and healthcare construction projects, including night shift assignments when required.
  • Participate in out‑of‑town travel assignments as needed, including large projects in other markets.
