About The Position

OneFourTwo Design Group is seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineer to lead Mission Critical projects out of their Atlanta office. The ideal candidate is a passionate problem solver with a strong sense of integrity and a passion for the construction process. Requirements

  • BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • 5+ years of structural engineering building design experience, ideally with some experience in large-scale commercial and/or data center projects
  • Ability to prepare structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, light gage steel, and understanding of foundation design
  • Proficiency using Revit independently to create construction level structural drawings is required
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure, or ability to obtain within 6 months

Nice To Haves

  • Some experience in large-scale commercial and/or data center projects
  • Knowledge of analysis and design programs such as RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA, or another recognized 3D design packages preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage mission critical projects and communicate with clients, technical drafting staff, and others outside the project team
  • Prepare preliminary designs for clients
  • Review building codes to assure proper implementation in design
  • Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, architect, civil, and mechanical engineers
  • Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents as well as construction
  • Produce construction ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines to assure completeness and accuracy
  • Manage construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review, RFI responses, and coordination with the construction teams
