This position offers the opportunity to apply expertise in materials, structural analysis, structural steel design, and reinforced concrete design to support creative and cost-effective solutions for existing and new designs. The role involves working on a wide range of power plant, oil & gas, and industrial facility modifications and upgrades, including creating calculations, design documents, and specifications. Responsibilities include conducting structural analyses for complex loading conditions (wind, seismic, blast, pressurization), guiding junior engineers and designers, investigating and troubleshooting structural engineering issues, and performing structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, equipment and piping supports, and foundations using state-of-the-art computer tools. The role also involves developing integrated structural designs, preparing technical specifications and engineering studies, performing independent reviews of work, and coordinating with other engineers, project managers, client personnel, and suppliers. Additionally, the position requires reviewing existing facilities for upgrades and replacements, presenting findings, and potentially performing on-site structural condition assessments. Career development is supported through peer-learning and mentorship. Client interaction may involve travel for design reviews and on-site assessments. This position is based on a hybrid work schedule, requiring 3 days per week in the office.
