About The Position

Fehr Graham is seeking a motivated and proactive Structural Engineer to lead their growing structural engineering team. This role is ideal for a forward thinker passionate about bridge design, who can take charge and contribute to the company's expansion into new markets. The position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, including bridge inspection and design, utilizing knowledge of structural components, retaining walls, and Department of Transportation design standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 7 to 11 years of experience designing steel and concrete structures.
• Licensed structural engineer in Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin or demonstrate the ability to secure these licensures.
• Know construction methods and materials and code requirements.
• Know how to develop design and construction plans.
• Use structural engineering software.
• Speak and write well.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide bridge inspection and design services.
• Actively lead, develop and grow the structural engineering team.
• Be familiar with structural components.
• Work cross functionally with the Transportation team on projects.
