This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with three days in the office and two days remote. It is a lead design engineering position offering diverse and challenging opportunities in structural engineering, with potential for career advancement. The role involves guiding a team of structural engineers, collaborating with engineers from other disciplines, and interacting directly with clients. You will lead and mentor a structural engineering team on projects for new nuclear facilities and upgrades/modifications to nuclear power plants. This position allows for direct application of knowledge in materials, structural analysis, structural steel design, and reinforced concrete design. As part of an engineering and design team, you will work on various projects for different clients. Responsibilities include preparing, reviewing, and guiding design calculations, developing specifications, and working with designers on drawing development. You will also prepare, review, or guide the structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, and foundations. Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination and field verification may be required.
