To help continue our success, we are looking for a full-time Lead Stone Fabricator for our Building Materials location in Moline, IL.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years in stone fabrication with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Proficiency with tools such as drills, handheld saws, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
  • Familiarity with CAD software or digital templating programs to facilitate design understanding and accuracy.
  • Must be able to lift over 50 lbs and handle the physical demands of a fabrication environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues with machinery or material defects independently and efficiently.
  • Willingness to occasionally interact with clients or project managers to discuss project details or adjustments, if needed.
  • Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background checks required.

Responsibilities

  • Expertly fabricate dolomitic limestone and similar materials, ensuring precise cuts and high-quality finishes.
  • Execute traditional and laser templating with proficiency.
  • Operate and maintain a large bridge saw to handle angle cuts, diagonals, and complex layouts.
  • Sand, hone, polish and finish various stone types and craft custom edge profiles, including bullnose, beveled, and mitered edges.
  • Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, telehandlers, and overhead cranes.
  • Conduct inspections of materials and finished products to ensure quality and consistency, identifying potential flaws before completion.
  • Monitor and manage materials used in fabrication, coordinating with the office to ensure stock levels support upcoming projects.
  • Stay updated on new techniques, tools, and materials in the stone fabrication industry to maintain cutting-edge skills and improve production quality.
  • Strictly adhere to safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Provide support in the building materials warehouse on an as-needed basis.
