About The Position

SHINE Technologies is seeking a Lead Stock Plan Administrator who will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the company’s equity compensation programs, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing of all equity transactions. This position manages the equity administration system, oversees grant, vesting, exercise, and release activity, supports stock-based compensation accounting and tax reporting, and maintains effective controls over equity data. The Lead Stock Plan Administrator serves as a key contributor to the finance team and the primary point of contact for employees on equity matters, bringing strong technical knowledge of equity compensation and the ability to manage and grow a stock administration function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in stock plan / equity compensation administration.
  • Strong knowledge of equity instrument types, ASC 718, and equity-related tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with Fidelity Stock Plan Services preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across Finance, HR, Legal, and Payroll.
  • Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls.
  • Applicant’s eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug screen, fingerprinting and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Administer all equity program activities, including grants, vesting, exercises, releases, cancellations, and forfeitures.
  • Maintain the equity administration system and ensure data integrity across all participant records.
  • Process equity transactions accurately and on schedule, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
  • Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely tax withholding and reporting on equity events.
  • Prepare and review equity reports as necessary.
  • Support stock-based compensation accounting under ASC 718, partnering with Accounting on expense, forecasting, and disclosures.
  • Support financial, equity-related, and SOX audits and compliance initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable securities laws, tax regulations, and accounting standards governing equity compensation, including required IRS reporting.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee equity questions, and develop education and communication materials on the company’s equity programs.
  • Mentor and manage stock administration staff.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and support training on revised procedures.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls over equity administration.
  • Improve equity systems and processes for accuracy and efficiency.
