Lead Stitcher
About The Position
The Lead Stitcher is responsible for supporting the costume shop’s day to day operations through high quality costume construction and repair, dancer specific alterations, laundry, and related wardrobe work for rehearsals, performances, rentals, and tours. This role provides professional guidance to over hire stitchers, supports a collaborative and respectful shop environment, and works closely with the Costume Manager and other production partners, including the Lyric Opera of Chicago. The Lead Stitcher upholds safety, organization, and workmanship standards across all costume work and storage areas. This position is a union position covered under the I.A.T.S.E Collective Bargaining Agreement.
