About The Position

Southern Staircase (Edge Building Solutions) is seeking a Lead Stair Installer with solid framing or rough carpentry experience. This is a field-based, hands-on installation role focused on installing custom stair systems in residential and commercial settings. The role involves using hand and power tools to cut, level, shim, and secure stair components, reading blueprints, and transporting materials. The position also includes supporting warehouse operations as needed and ensuring job site safety and professionalism. This is a consistent, full-time position within a team-driven culture that values skill, growth, and accountability.

Requirements

2+ years of framing, carpentry, or woodworking experience (REQUIRED)
Strong experience with saws, drills, levels, and measuring tools
Ability to read layouts and work independently on-site
Valid driver’s license + clean driving record (MVR)
DOT medical card (or ability to obtain)
Must be 21+ years old
Physically able to lift 75 lbs and work in outdoor conditions

Responsibilities

Install custom stair systems (straight & curved) on residential and commercial sites
Cut, level, shim, and secure stair components using hand and power tools
Read layouts and blueprints to execute precise installs
Load/unload and transport materials (up to 75 lbs.)
Drive a 26’ box truck to and from job sites
Support warehouse operations as needed
Ensure safe, clean, and professional job sites
