About The Position

Miller-Keystone Blood Center is seeking a Lead Staff Phlebotomist to join their team. This role supports the Blood Center by collecting blood donations (blood and blood products) safely from volunteer donors in a compassionate and professional manner. The Lead Staff ensures all staff are following procedures and representing the Blood Center in the best way possible. The anticipated salary starts at $21.28 per hour and is commensurate with experience. Requirements

A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
1 years' experience as a Phlebotomist is required.
2 years' experience as a Team Lead in a healthcare setting is required.
Ability to handle difficult situations and persons tactfully and professionally.
Excellent ability to understand and use software relevant to the position.
Ability to solve problems and make decisions, seeking guidance as necessary.
Background checks and drug screenings are required.

Nice To Haves

Medical Assistant Certification or Phlebotomy Certification is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead, Mentor, Train and be a Role Model for the mobile drives
Ensure staff provide Excellent Customer Service
Actively plans, prioritizes, sets goals, and establishes staff assignments and communicates shift expectations for staff.
Responsible for all activities, supplies, and equipment required for a successful collection event and ensures events operate safely, smoothly, and efficiently.
Review daily QC for accuracy and completion.
Ensures staff follows all policies and procedures
