About The Position

Responsible for leading the speech-language pathology services for Palmdale Regional Medical Center. Participates in administrative activities including staff scheduling, performance review, quality monitoring/Improvement, and education/training. Within scope of service, evaluations, diagnoses, plans, and provides quality therapy treatments that meet patient individual needs, are medically prescribed, and necessary using the standards of professional practice.

Requirements

• Experience in diagnosing and treating swallow disorders.
• Ability to analyze test results to determine patients’ communicative abilities to determine necessary therapy.
• Knowledge of EMR documentation
• Masters’s degree In Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited College or University.
• Three (3) or more years’ experience as a speech-language pathologist.
• Current California License or eligible to obtain immediately after hire.
• AHA BLS certification
• ASHA certification
