About The Position

As a Lead Specialist, Scheduling Operations at our Germantown, WI site, you will play a key role in ensuring that production plans can be executed reliably. Working closely with the primary Production Scheduler, Manufacturing, Warehouse & Logistics, Planning and other supply chain partners, you will ensure that materials, inventory flows and system information are aligned with the production schedule. A key part of the role will be coordinating the new intermediate inventory flow between production site and our external warehouse, while also strengthening material readiness and execution discipline across the site. The role combines supply chain execution, material coordination, system administration and problem solving.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in production planning, material planning, scheduling, or manufacturing supply chain execution.
  • Experience in food, biotech, chemical, pharmaceutical, or other batch/process manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
  • Good understanding of how production schedules, material availability, inventory and logistics flows connect.
  • Strong SAP experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment; OMP or other advanced planning system experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of production scheduling with the ability to provide backup scheduling support when required.
  • Strong attention to detail and execution discipline in a high-complexity, low-error-tolerance environment.
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and connect information across systems.
  • Proven ability to coordinate across Manufacturing, Warehouse, Logistics, Procurement and Planning and drive actions to closure.
  • Proactive problem solver who identifies risks early, follows up independently and escalates when needed.
  • Strong ownership mindset and bias for action, with the resilience to operate effectively under changing priorities.

  • OMP or other advanced planning system experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure raw materials and other required components are available in line with the production schedule.
  • Coordinate material requirements and follow up on shortages or potential supply risks.
  • Support the Production Scheduler in confirming execution readiness before production.
  • Identify material constraints early and coordinate actions with Planning, Procurement, Warehouse and Manufacturing.
  • Support short-term scheduling activities and provide backup scheduling capability when required.
  • Coordinate the end-to-end movement of intermediate inventory between production site and external warehouse.
  • Ensure the right materials and quantities are transferred at the right time to support the production schedule.
  • Coordinate shipment requirements with Warehouse, Logistics, Planning and Operations.
  • Monitor open transfers and proactively follow up on delays or exceptions.
  • Ensure inventory stored externally remains visible and available for future production requirements.
  • Create and maintain required STOs and related system transactions for production site–external warehouse inventory movements.
  • Ensure SAP, planning tools and physical inventory flows remain aligned.
  • Monitor inventory and system exceptions impacting planning and execution, and coordinate resolution with the responsible function.
  • Perform required supply chain master-data and administrative activities supporting reliable execution.
  • Work with relevant teams to resolve system and process issues rather than allowing manual workarounds to become permanent ways of working.
  • Monitor daily execution against the agreed production and inventory flow plan.
  • Identify deviations early and coordinate corrective actions across functions.
  • Maintain clear visibility of material availability, transfers and execution status.
  • Support inventory reconciliation between production site and external warehouse.
  • Escalate risks that may affect production, inventory availability or customer service.
  • Help establish a stable and sustainable operating model for the production site and external warehouse flow.
  • Identify repetitive manual activities, system gaps and unnecessary process complexity.
  • Support standardization and automation of execution processes where possible.
  • Contribute to the broader development of a more stable and predictable Germantown supply chain operating model.
