About The Position

The Lead Specialist, Global Supply Chain, Quality Assurance will ensure that the North American Regional/Global Distribution Center (NARGDC) meets the applicable Quality Standards, while maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the flow of goods through the warehouse/distribution center. They will safeguard the NARGDC License to Operate regarding the Quality Standards of the warehouse/distribution center and provide basic support to the Global Supply Chain (GSC) Quality Assurance Manager. Key Areas of Responsibility: Materials Management QA verification of repackaged/relabeled and damaged/non-conforming material Customer sampling/aliquot documentation review Local oversight of the Global Product Returns process New material receipt oversight Storage temperature monitoring SAP material status change request handling Material destruction form handling Facility Support Management of Change (MOC) - QA Risk Assessment Calibration/preventive maintenance work order review Pest management oversight Regulatory/Quality Management Support Customer complaints – internal (ownership); external (investigator) Deviation investigations CAPA management Qualification/validation Audit/self-inspection FDA/USDA Regulatory Holds Documentation Management Quality Managment System (QMS) Documentation Authorship Projects, Special Assignments and Continuous Improvement Additional projects/assignments can be assigned if/when required. General Conduct Completion of day-to-day job responsibilities in accordance with the Warehouse Operations Compliance with NA regional quality plan Demonstration of leadership by working to Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality (SHE&Q) standards and encouraging colleagues to work to the same standards. Assurance of Quality at a critical site, in a complex and dynamic environment Demonstration of fast responsiveness to keep an uninterrupted flow of goods Oversight of the storage and handling of many differing materials, governed by varied international and local regulations and internal quality requirements Adaptation to rapid changes and moving targets, regarding the continuously evolving quality standards, processes, and organization changes Working with 3rd Party Logistics staff, while observing the 3PL's processes and procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor's degree, in a relevant scientific discipline is required.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Quality role supporting warehousing and/or production operations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with internal parties are required.
  • Computing skills in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) are required

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of quality/compliance standards (e.g., GMP, GDP, HACCP, Halal, FAMI-QS) is preferred.
  • Competency in root cause analysis methods and CAPA identification is preferred.
  • experience with SAP, TrackWise, EDM and Mendix tools (e.g., iCCR) is preferred.
  • Proven analytical, leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills.
