About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Verification Engineer to lead software verification activities for safety-critical avionics systems developed in accordance with DO-178C. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, developing, executing, and reporting software verification activities for Design Assurance Level (DAL) A projects. This role requires deep expertise in software verification processes, structural coverage analysis, requirements-based testing, certification support, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will serve as the technical lead for software verification efforts and will mentor and develop a team of software test engineers to achieve compliance with the highest levels of aviation software assurance.

Requirements

Minimum Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
8 years software verification, software test, or software quality assurance in safety critical environments.
5 years working on DO-178B or DO-178C projects.
Demonstrated experience leading software verification efforts for at least one DO-178C DAL A or DAL B certification program.
Experience developing requirements-based tests from software requirements.
Experience in performing structural coverage analysis, including MC/DC coverage.
Experience generating and reviewing certification evidence and compliance data.
Strong understanding of software development, life cycle processes and verification methodologies.
Excellent technical leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

Lead all software verification activities for DO-178C DAL A projects.
Develop and execute comprehensive requirements-based verification strategies for airborne software.
Lead structural coverage activities for DAL A software.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software verification engineers.
Support Stage of Involvement (SOI) audits and certification reviews.
