Lead Software Engineer
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Lead Software Engineer to support multiple projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business, product, Technical Program Management (TPM), and project management teams to understand business requirements, design practical technical solutions, develop high-quality code, and deliver reliable, production-ready applications. This role involves providing technical direction, mentoring junior and mid-level engineers, conducting code reviews, maintaining coding standards, and leveraging AI to automate activities across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience working with AWS cloud services and deploying application components to AWS.
- Strong practical knowledge of system design and software architecture.
- Ability to write clean, scalable, maintainable, production-ready code.
- Experience guiding and mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.
- Proven experience conducting code reviews and enforcing coding standards.
- Ability to identify code quality issues, security vulnerabilities, and code that is not suitable for production release.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to business and technical stakeholders.
- At least some exposure to infrastructure and infrastructure-related concepts.

- Experience designing and building cloud infrastructure.
- AWS certification at the Associate level or higher, such as: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate AWS Certified Developer – Associate
- Experience leveraging AI to automate SDLC activities.
- Experience with AWS ECS Fargate and AWS Lambda.
- Experience with DynamoDB or other NoSQL databases.
- Experience with PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Confluent Kafka.
- Experience with serverless technologies and architectures.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business, product, TPM, and project management teams to understand business problems and technical requirements.
- Design practical, scalable system architectures and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain production-ready applications using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS.
- Lead technical execution across multiple projects and drive deliverables through completion.
- Provide technical direction, mentorship, and guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, security, and adherence to coding standards.
- Identify potential security vulnerabilities, coding issues, and production risks before release.
- Work with cloud infrastructure and deployment processes to support reliable application delivery.
- Explore and implement AI-driven automation opportunities across the SDLC.
