Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
  • At least 4 years of hands-on software development experience
  • At least 4 years of experience with full lifecycle development using Agile methods
  • Strong experience with .NET, C#, and SQL
  • Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting scalable software solutions
  • Ability to work onsite in Overland Park, KS
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams, product partners, business leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions and act decisively
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and deliver in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, coach, and guide others

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Netsmart EHR solutions or healthcare technology
  • Experience modernizing applications, platforms, or enterprise systems
  • Exposure to cloud technologies, APIs, integrations, DevOps, CI/CD, or automation practices
  • Experience mentoring engineers or providing technical leadership within an Agile team
  • Passion for improving healthcare through technology

Responsibilities

  • Lead and actively participate in the full software development life cycle for complex, enterprise-level projects
  • Design, develop, enhance, and support applications using .NET, C#, SQL and related technologies
  • Implement architectural and technical platform changes that improve scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability
  • Partner with business and technical leaders to understand future solution needs and contribute to technology strategies
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and guidance to engineers across the team
  • Mentor other technical associates to strengthen engineering practices, technical aptitude, and team engagement
  • Research and recommend emerging technologies that support innovation, automation, and continuous improvement
  • Establish and promote best practices for Agile delivery, team planning, code quality, and structured execution
  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams to solve problems, remove obstacles, and deliver high-quality solutions
  • Participate in a rotational on-call schedule, which may require availability outside standard business hours
