About The Position

The Lead Software Engineer owns software and validation work on Linux- and Android-based infotainment and connectivity platforms. The role leads a team sustaining ECUs across several hardware generations. The team will ramp up on the existing codebase and build pipelines, then enable hardware validation tests. The engineer develops and maintains software for hardware verification and validation across hypervisor, Linux, and Android systems; designs and runs subsystem stress tests; analyzes and optimizes ECU performance; and supports board bring-up, design verification, and debugging with architecture, hardware, and software teams. The role also includes guiding junior engineers and providing weekly status, risk, and decision documentation to program leadership. This is an on-site position five days per week in Palo Alto, California. The listed salary range is $140,000–$160,000, with the actual offer depending on factors including location, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
