About The Position

The Lead Software Engineer is responsible for technical leadership, project management, process development, training, and support across Parametric’s Core Operations Platform. The role owns the Performance Reporting engine, which calculates and delivers portfolio performance metrics across the firm, and leads modernization of legacy performance calculation systems into scalable, event-driven, AWS cloud-native architecture. The engineer partners with business analysts, operations stakeholders, and technology teams to meet the accuracy, latency, and traceability standards required for client reporting, regulatory compliance, and investment decision support. The role includes designing and leading a high-throughput performance calculation engine on AWS, guiding migration of legacy applications, establishing engineering and data standards, and supporting dependable, auditable systems. It also involves leading Agile delivery, overseeing design documentation and code quality, building test coverage, evaluating technologies, and mentoring a global engineering team. The position follows Parametric’s hybrid model: employees work in the office three days a week and may choose to work remotely or in the office on the remaining days.
