Their client, a global investment firm, is seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer to join their team in El Segundo, CA.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
• Proven experience managing and mentoring teams of full stack software engineers.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders, drive roadmap creation and ROI optimization, and lead architectural decisions and organizations changes.
• Extensive experience building and deploying trading software in a high-performance, production environment.
• Expertise in trading systems across asset classes.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, balancing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of initiative and drive.
• Collaborate and adept working with professionals of all levels.

Nice To Haves

• At least 3+ years working in a trading environment.
• Strong knowledge of transaction cost analysis, PnL attribution, risk factor modeling, and order routing.

Responsibilities

• Lead software build through requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and production deployment.
• Develop and deliver full-stack cloud-based applications.
• Develop and deploy microservices in a scalable high throughput workflow.
• Integrate and optimize messaging systems across application stack (e.g., Kafka).
• Leverage both a scripting (e.g., Python) and OOP (e.g., C++, Java) programming language to build robust trading solutions.
• Comfortable working in an agile software delivery environment, utilizing Git and with exposure to CI / CD tools (e.g., Docker, Jenkins).
• Passion for clean, maintainable code and continuous improvement in engineering skills in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Strong understanding of market structure, key trading data, and analytics that support various investment strategies.
