About The Position

Wells Fargo Bank N.A. seeks a Lead Software Engineer in Wilmington, DE. This role involves creating and supporting microservices that are consumed by multiple consumer credit cards applications to support customers. The Lead Software Engineer will lead complex, company-wide technology initiatives, develop standards and best practices for engineering large-scale technology solutions, and design, code, test, debug, and document projects. This position requires reviewing and analyzing complex technology solutions for business objectives, evaluating technical challenges, and making decisions on engineering best practices. Collaboration with technical experts and external industry groups is expected to resolve complex technical issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position involving software engineering experience.
• 5 years of Core Java experience
• 5 years of J2EE experience
• 5 years of RESTful web services
• 5 years of experience with Spring, Spring Batch, and Spring Boot
• 3 years of software engineering experience in a distributed services architecture using MicroServices or SOA

Responsibilities

• Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact.
• Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs.
• Review and analyze complex, large scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors.
• Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
• Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals.
