About The Position

EMSS is seeking experienced software engineers to support multiple software product deliveries, system modernization efforts, and future growth initiatives. The candidate will provide technical leadership, take ownership of software products, and drive development across the full software lifecycle from requirements through deployment and sustainment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Active Secret clearance.

10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong Java, C++, Java Spring Boot, REST API development experience.
Multi-threaded application development.
Database design and integration experience.
Linux development environment experience.
CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance, including Jenkins.
Containerized software development and deployment.
Kubernetes and Cloud and hybrid-cloud deployment experience.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
DoD, SATCOM, networking, gateway, or telecommunications experience.

Cybersecurity-aware software development.
Experience with distributed systems and enterprise-scale applications.

Provide technical leadership across the team, mentor junior engineers, and leverage modern AI-assisted development tools to accelerate software design, implementation, testing, debugging, and delivery while maintaining high-quality engineering standards.
