Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of overall IT experience with at least 3–5 years in application or solution architecture roles
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, including Amazon Connect and related cloud services
  • Solid experience designing and implementing integrations across web, mobile, CRM, and backend platforms
  • Experience with large-scale platform migrations, preferably from legacy chat systems (e.g., LivePerson, Genesys) to AWS Connect
  • Experience designing conversational AI or chatbot architectures, including intent routing, orchestration, and knowledge-based responses
  • Experience with security architecture, access control models, and enterprise compliance considerations
  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., CloudFormation, CDK)
  • Experience working in large, cross-functional programs with multiple workstreams and external partners
  • Solid understanding of API design, microservices architecture, and cloud-native integration patterns
  • Demonstrated ability to create architecture artifacts, including solution designs, integration diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Proven solid stakeholder management and communication skills across business, product, UX, and engineering teams
  • Proven solid leadership skills with the ability to drive architectural decisions and governance

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end architecture for AWS Connect digital chat across portal, mobile, and backend systems
  • Define solution design and architecture artifacts (solution intake, diagrams, integration models)
  • Design and document integrations between AWS Connect, CRM systems, APIs, backend applications, and third-party platforms
  • Lead migration strategy, including legacy system (e.g., LivePerson) assessment, reuse, and migration sequencing
  • Architect conversational AI capabilities including intent routing, orchestration, knowledge retrieval (RAG), and escalation to agents
  • Define security architecture, including access controls, security profiles, and governance alignment
  • Drive operational readiness, including monitoring, reporting, support model, and training alignment
  • Collaborate with business, product, UX, engineering, and vendor teams to align requirements and implementation
  • Provide architecture governance through design reviews, standards enforcement, and documentation ownership
