About The Position

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement software solutions that solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. The role involves all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards, documenting specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Responsibilities include identifying and troubleshooting application code-related issues, participating in code reviews to ensure alignment with architectural specifications, assisting with design reviews by recommending requirement incorporation, and participating in project planning sessions to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Application Developer, Technical Lead, or related occupation.
  • Developing Android applications using Kotlin or Java (7 years experience).
  • Using Git for version control (7 years experience).
  • Agile methodologies (7 years experience).
  • Jira for project management and issue tracking (7 years experience).
  • Building Android applications using Android Studio (4 years experience).
  • Building iOS and Android mobile applications using Flutter (4 years experience).
  • RESTful APIs for data exchange (4 years experience).
  • Setting up Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools using Jenkins (4 years experience).

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and implement software solutions.
  • Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices.
  • Analyze requirements, incorporate architectural standards into application design specifications, and document application specifications.
  • Translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop or enhance software application modules.
  • Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues.
  • Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications.
  • Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows.
  • Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
