About The Position

Jordan Park is seeking an exceptional software engineer in San Francisco to support the growth of their investment advisory firm. This role is within the Investment Strategy team, responsible for portfolio construction, asset allocation, macroeconomic research, and portfolio implementation using proprietary client portfolio management systems. The individual will enhance existing systems, add new functionality, and solve future problems. Responsibilities include maintaining and upgrading application code and the web UI, balancing responsiveness and reliability. The senior (VP) role involves system ownership, hands-on technical work, planning for large-scale expansion/integration, interfacing with third parties, collaborating with internal business groups, and mentoring junior team members.

Requirements

  • Degree in a related field, such as computer science, computer systems, engineering, etc.
  • Senior Associate level: 5-8 years of software engineering experience.
  • VP level: 5-10 years of software engineering experience, including 2-3 years of leading software development projects.
  • Strong Python programming experience.
  • Experience with SQL and ETL processes.
  • Experience supporting critical production systems.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AWS, Airflow, git, bash, and Jira.
  • Expertise in Pandas.
  • Knowledge of Dash or Flask.
  • Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of Postgres database management and administration.
  • Experience with Aristotle or Volcano-X trading platform integration APIs.
  • Familiarity with Addepar and Salesforce.
