The Site Safety Manager works independently under the direction of the Region EH&S Manager to perform multiple tasks, supporting many disciplines within the field Rigging & Crating group. The primary responsibility is to support field operations through site inspection, safety compliance, and site investigation for incidents involving employees, material, and equipment damage. This role must support an incident and injury-free field operation of MEI sites and promote continuous growth in safety culture. The Site Safety Manager will effectively communicate all MEI EHS policies, guidelines, and procedures, including regulatory changes and new business growth. They will support MEI sites with all customers and OSHA-required training (Site Specific, Protocol, OSHA, Forklift, etc.). This position provides program, technical, and administrative support of management systems directed by the Region EH&S Manager. The role works collectively with the Region EH&S Manager, safety, and operations teams to manage all incidents and accident cases through investigations and root cause analysis. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
