About The Position

XYZ Reality is seeking a Lead Site Engineer for a project in Charleston, West Virginia. XYZ Reality provides an engineering-grade Augmented Reality solution for the construction industry, utilizing The Atom headset to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The company has grown to over 100 staff across the UK, US & Europe and works with major organizations and construction companies. The Lead Site Engineer will be the senior field representative, responsible for overseeing daily site team activities, ensuring adherence to workflows and standards, and coordinating between the site team and the client. This role also involves performing core Site Engineer tasks such as progress capture and quality inspections.

Requirements

  • Experience working on large scale construction projects.
  • Experience supervising or coordinating small teams.
  • Understanding of construction drawings, BIM models, and site workflows.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and client stakeholders.
  • Comfortable using digital construction tools and new technologies.
  • Basic IT Skills (Microsoft Suite).
  • Must have a clean criminal record.
  • Willing to undergo background checks and drugs tests due to security requirements of the projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily activities of Site Engineers and Graduate Site Engineers on the project.
  • Ensure all team members follow company workflows, QA procedures, and data capture standards.
  • Drive adoption of the XYZ platform among client teams and stakeholders.
  • Conduct progress tracking against BIM models using XYZ’s Augmented Reality Device – The Atom.
  • Perform on-site QA inspections and record findings within the XYZ platform.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly coordination meetings with the client to review quality issues and progress.
  • Monitor quality issues raised by the engineering team and ensure they are reviewed and closed out by the client.
  • Provide coaching and support to Site Engineers to maintain high delivery standards.
  • Escalate risks, blockers, or performance issues to project management when necessary.
