The primary responsibility of Direct Service Respite Providers (DSRPs) is to provide support and assistance to family members or guardians who are caring for children with disabilities who have qualified for respite services. They provide appropriate care to children and support families by offering a planned break in the family's home, their own home, or other community settings as defined by the Respite Plan. In addition, the Lead Site DSRP is responsible for directly overseeing services provided during site-based respite.
