Lead Silicon Photonics Engineer

NeurophosSan Mateo, CA
Onsite

About The Position

Neurophos is at the forefront of addressing the energy and performance bottlenecks in AI computation by leveraging silicon photonics and active, programmable metasurfaces. Our innovative approach uses optical cells that are significantly smaller and more efficient than traditional electronic circuits, promising substantial improvements in energy efficiency and performance for large-scale AI inference. We have a world-class team, significant funding, and are recognized as innovators in the field. We are seeking a leader to drive the architecture, design, and development of our advanced silicon photonic devices for our AI acceleration platform. This role involves close collaboration with the CTO and cross-disciplinary teams, with an initial focus on individual contribution and future potential for team leadership. The position is based in Austin, TX or San Jose, CA, and is a full-time onsite role.
