About The Position

We're seeking an experienced Lead Sheetfed Operator to join our Packaging Division in Spartanburg, SC. In this role, you'll be responsible for press setup, operation, quality control, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance while leading production activities to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operator who enjoys taking ownership of production and working with some of the industry's most advanced packaging equipment.

Requirements

  • Ability to pass a color vision assessment
  • Strong mechanical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift 10–15 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand and wrist movements
  • Ability to identify print defects and maintain quality standards
  • Ability to work overtime and holidays as needed

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of Lead Sheetfed Operator experience in the printing or packaging industry
  • Experience with Heidelberg XL 105 or XL 106 presses with UV preferred
  • Strong understanding of sheet-fed offset printing processes
  • Knowledge of color management and print quality standards
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up sheet-fed offset presses according to job specifications
  • Review job tickets, substrate requirements, ink specifications, and plate configurations
  • Communicate production requirements and instructions to support team members
  • Operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently while meeting customer specifications
  • Monitor raw material levels and maintain production flow
  • Perform quality inspections throughout the printing process
  • Complete required quality documentation and production records
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and make adjustments to maintain productivity and print quality
  • Perform basic maintenance on assigned equipment
  • Conduct line clearances and maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Support safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
