We are currently seeking a Lead Sheet Metal Mechanic to add to our growing team.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of commercial or industrial sheet metal/HVAC installation experience.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork installation, and sheet metal fabrication techniques.
- Ability to lead and direct crew members in a professional manner.
- Ability to pass pre-employment and/or jobsite-specific screening requirements as applicable.

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
Responsibilities
- Read, interpret, and execute work from blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and other project documents.
- Plan daily work activities and coordinate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment to meet project schedules.
- Measure, layout, fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal ductwork and related HVAC components.
- Install HVAC equipment and components, including coils, heaters, compressors, control panels, dampers, and related systems.
- Determine project requirements, assembly sequences, installation methods, and material needs based on project specifications and field conditions.
- Drill, punch, cut, shape, and fasten sheet metal using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Trim, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth metal surfaces, seams, and joints to ensure proper fit and finish.
- Inspect completed work to verify quality, accuracy, and compliance with company standards and project specifications.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and technical support to sheet metal mechanics and apprentices.
- Monitor productivity and address installation challenges while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and jobsite requirements.
- Conduct and participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and jobsite inspections.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, contractors, and other trades.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Complete required documentation, reports, and timekeeping records accurately and timely.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
