About The Position
In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day service operations within specified areas of Dining Services. The Lead Server helps to guarantee the highest quality program for the residents. Supporting our front-line team in providing exceptional service.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required
- 3+ years in food service
- Food Handler’s certificate or other required certification as specified by state guidelines
- Amazing customer service skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Nice To Haves
- associate’s degree in food service preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead associates in providing the highest quality food and services for all residents and dining guests.
- Ensure the dining room is sanitary, organized, and fully stocked at all times.
- Ensureservice stations and dining room are properly setup and ready prior to each service.
- Provide training to new staff in fine-dining principles, service etiquette, and other dining services.
- Verify that all job cards (cleaning lists and side work) are being completed for each shift.
- Assign or complete the closing check-out list at the end of the shift.
- Conduct daily pre-service meeting and documentation for each shift.
- Review daily associate assignments, the menu, food ingredients (gluten-free, allergens, etc.) and communicate new policies/procedures or other pertinent information to the associates.
- Enforce the uniform policy and temperature-control guidelines.
- Monitor and document inventory and communicate needs to the rest of the dining services leadership team for ordering purposes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and procedures and any applicable regulations.
