About The Position

Distinctive Living is seeking a Lead Dining Server (Full-Time) for their Mira Vie at Forsgate community. The company emphasizes personal and professional growth, aiming to create a culture where team members feel valued and inspired. The Server is responsible for all activities within the Restaurant and Hospitality Department, reporting to the Director, Restaurant and Hospitality. Key responsibilities include ensuring quality service delivery during meal service, adhering to special dietary needs, and maintaining open communication. The role involves developing a positive customer service culture through staff training, evaluating service quality, and implementing systems for efficient and pleasant meal delivery. The Lead Server must ensure resident satisfaction, maintain a clean dining environment, and promote safe work practices. Fostering teamwork, initiative, and a positive impact on colleagues, residents, and visitors is also crucial.

Requirements

Experience in food service preferred.
Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
Self-motivated, can work independently and make decisions.
Excellent organizational skills; detail oriented.
Pleasant, professional, and personable.

Responsibilities

Develops a positive customer service culture in the dining room through staff training.
Evaluates the quality of service and develops systems to maximize the efficiency of meal delivery while maintaining a pleasant dining experience.
Ensures staff provides service that maintains good resident experiences during meal times.
Circulates in the dining room to ascertain resident preferences and satisfaction with meals.
Develops service systems that balance quality and speed of meal delivery.
Maintains a clean dining room, including all equipment, walls, table tops and bases, and chairs.
Ensures linens are changed as needed and tabletop condiments and salt and pepper shakers are kept clean.
Ensures they and any employees working with them work in a safe manner and that unsafe actions are managed.
Compliant with Safety Committee Standard.
Assists the Executive Director when required with the investigation, return to work, and management of the injured worker communication with care provider and Distinctive Living.
Fosters teamwork with co-workers, shows initiative in overcoming obstacles, takes actions which assist others beyond job responsibilities, and has a positive impact on co-workers, residents, and visitors.
