Lead Security Officer (Full-Time)
About The Position
Security is responsible for providing the physical protection of Baptist Health assets, including people, property, reputation, and information. The Lead Security Officer Full-Time, Second Shift is responsible for supervising other Security Officers and monitoring work-related functions during the assigned shift. This role enforces hospital regulations and provides a safe and secure environment for hospital patients, visitors, and employees. The Security Officer Lead will enforce hospital policies and security regulations through active monitoring and patrolling of Baptist property by continuously watching and reporting of potential safety hazards and unusual occurrences. As determined by supervisory personnel, the Security Officer investigates complaints or potential criminal conduct; assists in restraining patients as necessary; and provides protective services.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- One Year related Experience
- Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association within 90 Days
- Must obtain Aegis within 90 Days
- Must obtain Taser 7 certification within 90 Days
- Must obtain Basic & Advanced International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) certification within 6 months
