About The Position

The Lead Security Officer will be responsible for providing on-the-job training for new security officers, monitoring the physical appearance of the security staff, and ensuring the safety and security of the hotel premises. This role involves conducting regular patrols, responding to guest inquiries and incidents, assisting in emergency response situations, and ensuring compliance with hotel policies. The Lead Security Officer will also be responsible for documenting incidents, coordinating with local law enforcement, performing access control, resolving conflicts, providing exceptional customer service, maintaining surveillance footage, conducting security training, implementing safety protocols during events, and assisting in investigations of theft or property damage. Additionally, the role includes responding to alarms and monitoring security systems.

Requirements

  • Certification in first aid and CPR.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
  • Must possess a professional presentation
  • Understanding of security systems and surveillance technology.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. or more
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, and call back hours when required

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the investigation of theft or property damage.
  • Respond to alarms and monitor security systems.
