About The Position

Entegris is seeking a Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Engineer to join its Digital Solutions Enablement team. The role applies established models to simulate products and product derivatives, interprets results, and validates model predictions against empirical data. It also makes validated models available to business users through AI-enabled tools and standard operating procedures, with supporting training and first-line application support. The position works with business unit R&D teams and the Core M&S Team to translate scientific and engineering challenges into clear modeling requirements and fit-for-purpose solutions. It contributes to AI-enabled scientific and engineering workflows and helps users adopt standardized modeling capabilities. The annual salary range is $112,000–$164,000, with final offers based on overall skills and qualifications. Entegris does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role. Requirements

Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or aerospace engineering.
Five years of relevant industry experience applying modeling and simulation to scientific or engineering problems.
Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, engineering design, and numerical modeling methods.
Three years of hands-on experience with commercial simulation software such as Ansys, Abaqus, or COMSOL, and/or open-source tools such as OpenFOAM.
Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo, including geometry preparation for simulation.
Ability to translate R&D questions into well-defined modeling requirements, including inputs, assumptions, and expected outputs.
Experience running simulations on high-performance computing (HPC) clusters or in cloud computing environments.
Experience validating models and partnering with product or laboratory teams to define and obtain relevant experimental data.
Experience deploying established models and workflows for users with varying levels of modeling expertise.
Experience training technical users and troubleshooting modeling or scientific application issues.
Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to identify limitations in existing tools, synthesize user feedback, and communicate requirements to modeling specialists and R&D stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the semiconductor, aerospace, or oil and gas industry.
Experience automating simulation or engineering workflows using Python, MATLAB, or C++.
Familiarity with AI-enabled scientific workflows or experience contributing to AI-powered tools for scientific or engineering applications.
Demonstrated success enabling R&D teams outside specialist modeling groups to adopt standardized modeling workflows.
Hands-on experience developing AI assistants or agents for scientific or engineering applications.
Demonstrated success translating recurring user needs into improvements to models, tools, or scientific workflows.

Responsibilities

Perform multiphysics simulations using established models, including CFD and FEA for fluid flow, heat transfer, structural mechanics, and product design.
Analyze and interpret simulation results, communicate findings, and identify opportunities to improve products and designs.
Deploy standardized M&S capabilities and workflows for R&D users through AI-enabled tools and standard procedures.
Validate models by comparing simulation results with empirical data and improve model predictions.
Partner with business unit R&D teams to define executable modeling requests with clear inputs, assumptions, and expected outputs.
Develop application guidance, train technical users, and provide first-line support and troubleshooting.
Capture unmet user needs, recurring issues, and application gaps, and provide actionable feedback to the Core M&S Team.
Collaborate with modeling specialists and R&D users to develop AI-enabled tools for scientific and engineering workflows.
