Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of surgical or perioperative experience.
Strong working knowledge of surgical terminology and procedures.
Proficiency in OR scheduling systems and EMR platforms.
Excellent communication, customer service, and conflict-resolution skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree.
Team Lead experience.

Responsibilities

Coordinating and overseeing the daily scheduling functions within the Surgery Department.
Ensuring accurate and efficient scheduling of surgical cases.
Optimizing operating room utilization.
Supporting surgeons and clinical teams.
Providing leadership, training, and workflow oversight to the scheduling staff.
Serving as the primary liaison between surgeons’ offices, perioperative leadership, anesthesia, and hospital departments to ensure a smooth and safe surgical scheduling process.
