About The Position

The Lead Sales & Guest Experience Associate is a high-performance, developmental role. You aren’t just hitting your own goals; you are the one the team looks to for energy and direction, especially when management isn’t in the building. This is the crucial step in your career journey. At UPMA Group, we use this role to prepare our future leaders for the next level: Sales Associate > Sales Lead (YOU) > Assistant Center Manager > Center Manager > & Beyond! This is a leadership development role, not a formal management position. You won’t be handling disciplinary actions or paperwork—your focus is 100% on sales culture, center flow, and real-time coaching. The "Lead" takes it a step further than a regular Guest Service Associate (GSA) by acting as a "Player-Coach" who models high-performance sales behavior, works opposite shifts of management (3–4 times per week) to ensure the center always has a leader on deck, provides real-time coaching to peers to help them overcome objections and improve their numbers, and ensures the center's "Visual Standard" is perfect, from the lobby to the Wax Suites, reporting any needs directly to the Center Manager.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in high-performance sales and hitting KPIs.
  • Ability to speak confidently in front of the team and coach others effectively without formal authority.
  • Self-motivated and reliable.
  • Ability to show up on time, stay proactive during downtime, and handle high-stress moments with a calm, logical head.
  • Desire to learn the foundations of leadership to eventually move into an Assistant Center Manager role.
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed sales goals and manage KPIs.
  • Previous experience in a high-volume retail or service environment.
  • Proficient in POS systems, Microsoft Excel, and basic math.
  • A desire to be a passionate EWC Brand Culture Warrior.

Responsibilities

  • Model high-performance sales behavior.
  • Lead shifts opposite of management (3-4 times per week) to ensure a leader is always present.
  • Provide real-time coaching to peers to help them overcome objections and improve sales numbers.
  • Ensure the center's "Visual Standard" is perfect, from the lobby to the Wax Suites.
  • Report any operational needs directly to the Center Manager.
