About The Position

WSP is seeking a Lead Safety Technician to join its Construction Management team in the Power Constructors, Inc. (PCI) sector, supporting the Greenlink Nevada Program. The position is based in the field, working across field offices and project sites throughout Nevada, including transmission line, substation, and telecommunications sites. Approximately half the time is spent in a field office and half in the field. The role leads field safety planning and execution for large-scale, technically complex electric utility construction projects. It supports WSP’s project scope, helps resolve high-impact field safety issues, promotes alignment with client expectations, monitors contract health and safety requirements, and tracks performance objectives. The Lead Safety Technician applies knowledge of electric utility construction methods, regulatory compliance, and contract terms to monitoring and reporting, while supporting long-term safety strategies, innovation, risk mitigation, and a strong project safety culture. The role serves as WSP’s field safety liaison among NV Energy, contractors, consultants, and agency representatives. It oversees implementation of construction safety strategies; develops and maintains project safety plans; reviews contractor safety plans and work plans; conducts audits and investigations; supports safety reporting, training, and documentation; and participates in project and client reporting forums.
