About The Position

Overwatch Mission Critical is seeking a Lead Safety Manager for its mission-critical infrastructure industry, focusing on the construction and management of state-of-the-art data centers. This role is crucial for enforcing safety standards, conducting risk assessments, leading safety audits, and fostering a zero-incident culture. The Lead Safety Manager will act as the primary safety point of contact, ensuring strict adherence to regulations and company policies, and maintaining comprehensive safety documentation.

Requirements

6-10 Years Safety / Data Centers experience
Minimum of 5 years of safety management experience, with specific focus on commercial construction or low-voltage electrical work
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or Engineering
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a professional work environment, including preparing written reports and documentation, conveying information clearly to team members, clients, and stakeholders, and responding appropriately to verbal and written communications related to job duties
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license appropriate for the role and be eligible to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with applicable laws (for roles requiring on-site presence or travel)

Responsibilities

Enforcing OSHA standards
Conducting risk assessments
Leading safety audits
Fostering a zero-incident culture through daily toolbox talks and leadership programs
Conducting regular field visits to spot hazards and mitigate risks
Acting as the primary safety point of contact for project managers, field leaders, and subcontractors
Enforcing strict adherence to federal/state safety regulations and company policies
Maintaining documentation for safety audits, training compliance, and incident responses
