About The Position

The Sanctuary of St. Cloud is an affordable, friendly senior living community. We are located near Highway 10 and County 23 in St. Cloud, MN. Our beautiful community hosts 101 Assisted Living and 36 Memory Care apartments. Our residents enjoy worry-free living in a warm and friendly community with services to meet their individual needs. This position is responsible for providing personal care and designated health-related services to enhance and/or maintain the residents' physical and emotional wellbeing.

Requirements

  • 1 year One to Three Years
  • Ability to use technology in the form of computers, hand held devices, cell phone, fax machines.
  • Must have a block schedule of a 0.2 FTE or greater per pay period

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree: CNA or HHA Certification
  • Three to Five Years

Responsibilities

  • Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to: Bathing/showering, Foot and fingernail care, Shaving, Dressing, Assistance with use of hearing aids and/or glasses, Hair care, Feeding, Toileting, Escorts, 1-2 person transfers and use of mechanical lift
  • Provides health-related services as directed: Assists with treatments per individualized care plan under the direction of the Registered Nurse. (Includes blood glucose monitoring), Administers medication or assists with this under the direction of the Registered Nurse (includes insulin injections)., Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
  • Performs specified home services: Performs laundry service per schedule., Follows cleaning schedule for the shift worked., Delivers meal trays., Assists with meal service in dining room.
  • Assists with preparing for and/or facilitating resident social and recreational activities as assigned and as requested.
  • Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff.
  • Notifies appropriate staff of changes in physical and/or emotional conditions such as change in attitude or mood, loss of appetite, change in weight.
  • Serves as a mandated reporter and reports any concerns regarding potential mistreatment
  • Offers pertinent observations and input.
  • Helps facilitate and responds appropriately to resident and building emergencies.
  • Acts as main trainer for Resident Assistants: Assists with welcoming and orienting new team members to their position and the community, Demonstrates proper resident care procedures, Assists with training and incorporating new standards, Offers appropriate feedback and encouragement to new employees, Creates a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
  • Assist the Director of Health Services with Resident Assistant staffing assignments: Helps with call-ins during the shift, adjusting schedule if necessary., Takes after hours and/or weekend staffing phone, per facility need.
  • Assist the Director of Health Services with administrative duties as assigned: Medication destruction (under supervision of RN), Medication cycle sorting, set-up, printing MAR’s (RN still needs to check and sign-off), Provider visit coordination (e.g. podiatry), Orders supplies, Calls families when personal supplies are running low., Filing
