About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Power Systems Research Engineer to join the Government Services team at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) to support our efforts of integrating electric power systems for our Navy customers. In this role, you will expand SEL’s capabilities and help start a new shipboard product line. Working with a wide range of colleagues from around the company, your engineering will help make electric power safer, more reliable, and more economical for the United States Navy. Our small but growing team has the spirit of a startup with the support system of a large company. Requirements

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Expertise in power system design, power system integration, and power system protection
  • Familiarity with requirements engineering and Model-Based System Engineering
  • Experience in simulation and timing analysis
  • Experience in drafting
  • Experience with the US Navy or other marine applications
