About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring that all areas of the rendering operation are operating in an efficient and safe manner that adheres to Tyson policies and procedures. This position could work in any department of Rendering.

Requirements

Candidates with 4 or more attendance points and/or any suspension in the past 12 months will not be considered.
Must be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
Must be able to read, write, and interpret general equipment safety procedures to ensure safety.
Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Ensuring that all areas of the rendering operation are operating in an efficient and safe manner that adheres to Tyson policies and procedures.
Operating and/or working on heavy and moving equipment.
Logging/writing information on log-sheets.
Working with moving parts.
Working on elevated platforms.
Using power tools and regular tools.
Climbing ladders with heights as high as 50ft plus.
Climbing storage silos and railcars.
Working with moving machinery.
Working with chemicals, intestines, parts of the cattle, blood/plasma, waste from cattle.
Working in hot & cold environments, with hot water and steam.
May require working outside in elements.
Lifting heavy weight over 50lbs and occasionally 100lbs.
Working with computers.
Driving forklifts and bobcat/skid-loader.
Using lockout/tag-outs.
Using fall protection.
Using hands and arms above shoulder level.
Standing or walking 8-10 hours per day.
