About The Position

This role supports the company’s overall business objectives by integrating regulatory compliance, strategic insight, and external influence. It proactively engages federal and state regulatory agencies, monitors and interprets regulatory developments, and shapes regulatory strategy to manage risk, enable business initiatives, and influence outcomes that align with enterprise priorities. The position is for an experienced professional recognized as an expert, with the ability to creatively resolve complex issues using broad and in-depth knowledge. The Lead Regulatory Relations leads significant projects with strategic autonomy, influences executive decisions, mentors less experienced staff, implements long-term plans that impact the organization, and frequently collaborates with senior leadership. This role is critical to managing increasing regulatory complexity, reducing compliance risk, and ensuring consistent and timely coordination with federal and state agencies, enabling senior leaders to remain focused on broader strategic priorities and advocacy efforts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Certification may be required in some areas.

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support compliance with federal and state regulations by monitoring proceedings, complaint pleadings, and regulatory developments.
  • Review certification applications and filings required for operations.
  • Act as a liaison to regulatory agencies, such as the FCC, by responding to inquiries and facilitating communication.
  • Plan and implement regulatory strategies for new products to help secure governmental approval.
  • Conduct research on regulatory trends and compile information to identify potential impacts on the company’s operations.
  • Support processes related to documentation and reporting, analysis, witness and testimony management, regulatory strategy, public policy and advocacy, and/or stakeholder communication.
