The Lead Registered Nurse position is part of the Emergency Department and is a full-time role working 72 hours per two-week pay period, primarily on the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) with 12-hour shifts. The schedule includes weekend and holiday responsibilities. We’re excited to offer a $10,000 sign-on bonus for this position. This role provides leadership, guidance, and supervision to hospital personnel while serving as a liaison for hospital administration in responding to emergent situations. The Lead RN coordinates bed management, staffing assignments, and ensures exceptional patient care across all nursing departments.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current Ohio RN license required
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certification required
  • ENPC and TNCC are required within 1 year of hire
  • Demonstrates leadership and ability to confidently handle difficult situations
  • Strong initiative, flexibility, professionalism, and enthusiasm
  • Excellent communication skills and independent decision-making
  • Commitment to patient advocacy, customer service, and high-quality care

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and supervision to hospital personnel and serve as a resource for staff
  • Coordinate bed management and nursing staffing based on patient acuity and census
  • Serve as a professional role model and ensure exceptional patient care
  • Float to high-need areas to assist with admissions, transfers, and patient assignments as needed
  • Evaluate and adjust staffing resources appropriately
  • Assist with case management and patient case review activities
  • Communicate effectively with hospital management and interdisciplinary teams
  • Maintain adherence to nursing standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements
