About The Position

The Lead RN utilizes skills and knowledge to assist physicians and nurse practitioners in the clinical functions related to the medical office, ensuring that the highest degree of quality patient care is maintained at all times. In coordination with the Office Manager, this position leads staff members and coordinates functions for daily operations as well as assisting the physicians and advanced practice clinicians (NP and/or PA) in the clinical functions related to the medical offices. Level of care is administered to patients of all age ranges with illnesses, diseases or physical limitations. This position also assists the Office Manager with training and onboarding of clinic staff.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent is required.
  • Graduate of a state accredited school of nursing is required.
  • Currently licensed as an RN in the state in which employed.
  • BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required.
  • Knowledge of basic patient care and ability to properly and safely handle medical equipment and supplies used.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to various working conditions and job demands.
  • Must demonstrate patience, understanding and good communication skills.
  • Must have ability to give attention to detail and to be resourceful.
  • Must maintain a professional attitude and be accountable and sensitive to the needs of patients as well as internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use basic office equipment, medical equipment and supplies necessary for daily duties.
  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills necessary for interaction with patients, visitors and staff.
  • Multi-tasking skills necessary for performing day to day functions in a stressful, dynamic work environment.
  • Appropriate attire required per policy.
  • Must be able to function independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to be flexible, dependable and promote a professional image.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledgeable in cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological states of human growth and development.
  • Competent to provide assessment, care and treatment appropriate to the age group of the patients served.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience of one year strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of one year RN experience strongly desired.
  • Experience in a medical office setting desired.
