As a Lead Registered Dental Assistant (LRDA), you will play a crucial role in managing a fast-paced team and delivering top-notch dental services while ensuring our patients have a 5-star experience. As an LRDA, you will work under the guidance of our Doctor, performing various office functions that contribute to our patients' overall well-being. Your responsibilities will encompass chairside assistance, patient care and education, laboratory tasks, and administrative duties. As lead, you will also be responsible for keeping inventory and ordering supplies, training other team members, managing the schedule and patient flow, and being the point of contact for all team members in the back office. Additionally, you will receive cross-training to assist with front office tasks, all aimed at maintaining our commitment to a 5-star patient experience.

Requirements

Minimum age of 18 required.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
Active RDA certification & RDA license required at time of hire.
Minimum 1 year of Dental office experience required.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including data entry.
Reliable transportation and availability to work clinic hours, including Saturdays.

Nice To Haves

Minimum 1 year of patient care or customer service experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Foster a comfortable and welcoming environment for patients throughout their visit.
Gather and record patients' medical history for the dentist's reference.
Perform dental imaging, including x-rays and impressions.
Manage patient records and complete dental charting.
Organize and prepare instruments for dental procedures.
Administer topical anesthetics and assist with various clinical procedures.
Assist the dentist during treatments by handing instruments and materials.
Educate patients on effective dental care practices.
Create temporary crowns and assist with dental preparations.
Adhere to strict infection control protocols to meet industry standards.
Sterilize dental instruments and equipment, ensuring patient safety.
Provide support in various clinic areas as assigned by leadership as needed.
Participate in community outreach activities as needed.
Keeping inventory and ordering supplies.
Training other team members.
Managing the schedule and patient flow.
Being the point of contact for all team members in the back office.
Receive cross-training to assist with front office tasks.
