We are search of a friendly and experienced Lead Dental Assistant with the ability to adapt to general and pediatric dentistry.

Requirements

  • One year of Dental Assisting Experience
  • Dental Assistant License
  • CPR Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to help train and develop Sterile Techs
  • Bilingual a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Performing a variety of dental assisting duties while promoting quality dental care for our patients and a safe environment of minimal stress.
  • Assisting the doctor.
  • Teaching patients how to care for their teeth.
  • Communicating effectively with patients (parents if patient is a child).
  • Following universal precautions and all OSHA requirements.
  • Ordering supplies.
  • Assisting in training of new sterile techs.
  • Assigning duties.
  • Ensuring that the back office runs efficiently and effectively.
  • Setting up and seating patients for the doctor.
  • Making sure rooms are properly stocked, cleaned, and set up for treatment.
  • Giving great patient care while following protocols for setting up patients.
  • Leading and training team members with encouragement, respect, and understanding.
  • Making sure supplies are ordered and that equipment is running correctly.
  • Troubleshooting problems in the clinic.
  • Correctly documenting all patient notes and initials correct forms.
  • Making sure consents, medical clearances, and prescriptions are completed.
  • Cheerfully assisting the doctor chairside with all procedures.
  • Making sure all records have been received for patient.
  • Releasing records to providers/patients needing a copy.
  • Assisting the doctor by using appropriate materials and instruments while treating patients.
  • Following all OSHA and Practice Safety Precautions.
  • Accurately taking radiographs to decrease the need for retakes and exposure to radiation.
  • Making sure that treatment plan charges assigned to patient, and discounts are correct.
