About The Position

Goodwin Tucker Group is seeking an experienced, motivated Lead Refrigeration Install & Service Technician for a key field leadership role. The technician leads commercial refrigeration installation projects, performs service and troubleshooting, and ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. The role works directly with customers, project managers, technicians, and other team members, while providing leadership in the field.

Requirements

Proven experience working with commercial refrigeration systems.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with refrigeration installation, startup, and service.
Ability to read electrical and refrigeration schematics.
Strong understanding of refrigeration controls, electrical systems, and components.
Ability to work independently while also leading a team.
Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Ability to work in commercial environments and occasionally work flexible hours when projects or service needs require it.

Nice To Haves

EPA certification is required or preferred, depending on company requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead and perform commercial refrigeration installation and replacement projects.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems and equipment.
Read and interpret plans, schematics, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications.
Lead installation crews and coordinate daily field activities.
Ensure installations are completed accurately, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
Commission and start up new refrigeration equipment and systems.
Perform preventative maintenance and service calls as needed.
Identify system issues and recommend appropriate repairs or solutions.
Maintain professionalism and provide customer service while working at customer sites.
Communicate with customers, project managers, dispatchers, and other team members.
Maintain accurate service records, job documentation, and material usage.
Ensure work follows company safety standards and applicable codes.
Maintain the company vehicle, tools, equipment, tablet, and other assigned resources.
Mentor and assist less-experienced technicians and apprentices.
Represent Goodwin Tucker Group professionally in the field.
