About The Position

The Lead Radiologic Technologist collaborates with Radiology leadership to supervise, train, and assess the competency of technical and support staff while fostering a culture of safety, both physically and psychologically, for patients and staff.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent qualifications for Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist certification
+1 year of supervisory experience, leading people and/or processes
Ability to train and mentor others
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
High degree of patience and compassion; Able to prioritize patient comfort and safety during procedures, adhering to radiation safety protocols

Responsibilities

Oversee and support technologists and clinical staff to maintain high-quality work.
Coordinate department workflow to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Perform daily departmental functions and contribute to department management.
Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures and ensure high-quality images for patients of all ages, ensuring proper positioning and exposure.
Administer contrast media in accordance with established procedures.
Ensure compliance with quality standards for imaging and equipment.
Monitor equipment and inventory, reporting issues and maintaining supply levels.
Ensure accurate patient records and efficient use of the image archiving system.
Assist with job-related duties and support the team.
