About The Position

This role is responsible for overseeing quality control testing, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting within the Diagnostic Radiology Ambulatory department at the Wauwatosa Ambulatory Center. The Lead Radiology Technologist will serve as a resource for department staff and other team members, create the X-ray shift schedule, and finalize Kronos timecards/approvals. Additionally, this position involves performing staff orientation, training, and coaching, and providing input for staff performance evaluations. A key aspect of this role is ensuring all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. General Radiography is also required in addition to any specialty.
  • State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Wisconsin Radiography Examining Board required.
  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee quality control testing, equipment maintenance and trouble shooting.
  • Serve as a resource to department staff as well as other members of the team as needed.
  • Create the upcoming X-ray shift schedule and finalize Kronos timecards/approvals.
  • Perform staff orientation, training, and coaching.
  • Provide input to staff performance evaluations.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
